Molding

 

Rolling Mill Roll consists of:

• 2 necks, molded in sand or refractory concrete
• 1 barrel, molded in sand or in a steel shell, layered with refractory coating

The 3 main mold components, 2 necks and the barrel mold are assembled to constitute the global roll mold where the roll will be cast in.
